Keeping Your Home Show-Ready

Communication is key when managing a showing schedule, but sometimes you might find yourself facing a last-minute walk-through. Fear not!

Stow It

Designate a place for family photos and personal items. A few well-stowed bins can accommodate decorations or cumbersome toys that typically find themselves all over the home.

Set the Timer

Especially for a last-minute showing, prioritizing is key. Consider setting a timer for 5 minutes per room. Address the big stuff in every room (clutter, dirty dishes, dust, etc.) that are most noticeable to buyers.

Prevent Pile Up

We’re talking laundry and trash in particular. Don’t wait for laundry day if you have a full load, and keep trash from over flowing or spreading smells of last night’s dinner throughout the house.

Peek Outside

Put away toys and lawn equipment. If you have a pet, make sure you’ve cleaned up after your furry friend, too. Mow or rake up some leaves if time allows, it’s worth it!

Last but Not Least

Make sure lights are on and the temperature is comfortable. Open some windows and let the fresh air in, if you can.
